Wall mounted in solid oak, pine or painted, from a slim 2 hook rack for a narrow hall to a 12 hook rack for a busy family entrance, with a shelf above for keys and post if you want one.

Choosing a coat rack for your hallway

A hallway is usually the tightest and busiest spot in the house, so the right rack is the one cut to fit it. That is why we make every rack to order. Measure the clear run of wall, then match the hook count to the space and the household.

For a narrow hallway, a 3 or 4 hook rack keeps the walkway clear while still giving everyone a place to hang. For a busy family entrance, 6 hooks or more stops coats piling on the newel post or the floor. Adding a shelf above the hooks is where a hallway rack earns its keep, giving you a home for keys, post, sunglasses and the things you grab on the way out.

Solid oak suits a traditional hallway, while a painted finish lifts a darker one. Whichever you choose, it is solid wood throughout with cast iron hooks, so it takes the daily knocks of a working hallway.
