Our wooden benches are made from solid timber โ€” oak, pine and reclaimed wood โ€” cut and shaped in our Halifax workshop, finished to your spec.

We make them for hallways, dining rooms and gardens. Standalone pieces or matched to a table if you need the full set. Most wooden benches can be made to your dimensions, so if the standard sizes don't fit your space, just say.

Wooden Benches Made in Yorkshire

Every wooden bench we make comes out of our workshop in Halifax โ€” solid timber throughout, no fillers, no shortcuts. We've been making furniture this way for years and the approach doesn't change: good wood, cut properly, finished to last.

Types of Wooden Bench

Dining benchesย A solid wood dining bench pairs with a kitchen or dining table and seats more people in less space than chairs. We make them to match our dining tables or to your own table's dimensions โ€” same timber, same finish, same proportions.

Garden benchesย Our wooden garden benches are built for outside. Solid construction, finished to handle the weather. Available as standalone benches or as part of a garden table and bench set.

Hallway and storage benchesย A hallway bench with shoe storage underneath keeps an entrance tidy without taking up more space than it needs to. Solid wood seat on top, storage below โ€” made to your hallway width if needed.

Wood and Finish Options

We work in oak, pine and reclaimed timber. Oak is dense and durable, takes a stain cleanly and ages well. Pine is lighter in colour and weight, suits a more relaxed or rustic interior. Reclaimed wood varies โ€” each piece is different, which is the point.

Finishes include natural oil, dark wax, and a range of wood stains. If you want something specific, ask.

Made to Your Dimensions

Most of our wooden benches can be made to order at your size. If a standard length or height doesn't work for your space, get in touch before ordering and we'll confirm what's possible. No surcharge for standard adjustments.

What wood do you use for your wooden benches?
We work in oak, pine and reclaimed timber. Oak is the most durable and takes a stain well. Pine is lighter and suits a more rustic finish. Reclaimed wood gives you something with a bit of history in it. If you're not sure which suits your space, get in touch and we'll help you decide.
Can your wooden benches be used outdoors?
Some of our benches are built specifically for outdoor use โ€” see our wooden garden benches. If you want a bench for inside, we'd recommend keeping it away from prolonged damp.
Are your wooden benches made to measure?
Yes. Most of our wooden benches can be made to your dimensions at no extra cost. If the standard sizes don't work for your space, drop us a message with your measurements before ordering.
Can I order a matching dining table?

How long does delivery take?
