What size should a wooden coat rack with shelf be in a hallway?
Choose a size based on your wall space and the number of hooks you need — we offer racks from 2 up to 12 hooks. All our coat racks have a 9 cm shelf depth, ideal for keys, plants or photos.
How high should a wall-mounted coat rack be installed?
We recommend mounting the rack so the hooks sit around 140–150 cm from the floor for adults, or slightly lower (around 120 cm) if children will use it.
Can the shelf on a coat rack hold heavy items like bags or plants?
Yes — our racks are built from solid oak or pine and fixed to the wall with hidden fittings. They’re designed for everyday use with coats, bags, keys and small decorative items.
What is the best material for a coat rack — oak vs pine vs painted wood?
Solid oak is naturally durable and full of character; pine is lighter and more cost-effective; painted finishes add colour while keeping the charm of real wood.
How many hooks do I need on my coat rack?
For smaller homes, 2–4 hooks are often enough; for families, 8–12 hooks give plenty of space for coats, bags and scarves.
How do I install your wall-mounted coat racks securely?
Each rack comes with pre-drilled holes and fixings. Simply mark your points, drill into a solid wall or plug, attach the rack, and fit the hooks back over the fixings for a clean finish.
