Choosing a painted coat rack

A painted coat rack lifts a hallway in a way natural wood cannot. Where oak blends in, a painted finish adds a pop of colour or a soft, calm neutral, and sits happily against almost any wall. Ours are painted by hand in our Halifax workshop, with the finish sealed and smoothed so it stands up to daily knocks.

Any colour, made to your size

White is the most popular, but because we paint to order you are not limited to it. Choose from our range of Farrow and Ball shades, from soft greys to Stiffkey Blue and Green Smoke, or send us any colour to match a front door, skirting or kitchen, at no extra cost. The rack is made from wood with an MDF back panel that sits flat against the wall and stays hidden once mounted. Pick your number of hooks, from 2 up to 12, add a shelf if you want one, and we cut it to your wall width.

What is it made from?
The rack is made from wood with an MDF back panel, then painted by hand. The MDF back gives a smooth, flat finish that sits neatly against the wall and stays hidden once the rack is mounted.
Can I have a shelf?
Yes, most sizes come with the option of a shelf above the hooks for keys and post.
