This dining table is made from solid oak and built around a pedestal base design.

The structure is simple and solid. The central bases provide a stable foundation while keeping the space underneath open and easy to use. This gives the table a balanced feel without the need for corner legs.The 32mm thick oak top is finished smooth with no visible joins, creating a cleaner surface compared to plank-style designs. The result is a more consistent look while still showing the natural character of the wood.

Oak is denser than pine, which gives the table a heavier feel and a more solid presence once in place. It is well suited to everyday use in busy kitchens and dining spaces.

Each table is finished with oil to protect the surface and bring out the depth in the grain. You can choose from Heritage for a natural look, Walnut for a darker tone, Light Roast for a lighter finish, Dark Roast for a deeper colour, Honey for warmth, or Whitewash for a softer finish.ย The edges are finished with a pencil round profile, which softens the feel while keeping the overall shape clean.

This table is available on its own or with matching benches. The benches follow the same pedestal base design and are built to sit neatly alongside or tuck underneath depending on size.ย Each piece is handmade to order in our Yorkshire workshop.

DELIVERY & RETURNS

Each table is made to order in our Yorkshire workshop.

Once ready, your order is dispatched using a tracked courier. Delivery typically takes 1โ€“3 working days after dispatch.

WOOD MATERIAL

Made from solid oak throughout, including the tabletop, bases and benches.

Each piece is finished with a protective oil to enhance the grain and provide a durable surface for everyday use.

SPECIFICATION

The table is 750mm high with a 32mm thick solid oak top. Sizes range from 120cm x 80cm through to 240cm x 90cm.

The pedestal bases are made from solid oak and positioned to provide a stable, balanced structure.

Benches are 450mm high and around 300mm deep, built to match the table design.

GOOD TO KNOW

This table is made from solid oak, so natural variation in grain and colour will be visible across the surface.

The smooth top has no visible joins, giving a cleaner and more consistent finish.

The oil finish enhances the tone of the wood and may appear different depending on lighting.

This is a heavy, solid table designed for long-term use.

How long will my order take

Most items are handmade and made to order. The current lead time is shown on the product page. You will also receive progress updates during production and dispatch.

What happens if there is a problem during delivery

If you experience an issue in transit, contact the customer service team and they will help you resolve it.

How do returns work

To start a return, email customer service with your order number and reason. Items must be securely packaged in the original packaging. Return shipping costs are usually paid by the customer, while defective or damaged returns are covered by Off the Grain. Refunds are processed after inspection.

Do you offer click and collect

Yes. Click and collect is available from the workshop and is free. Collection options vary by item size.

Can I get advice on finishes or matching items

Yes. Product and finish guidance is available. If you are unsure about finishes or matching pieces, contact the team and they will advise.

Wood is a wonderful, natural material, beautiful to look and great to work with. Here at Off the Grain, we use a wide range of timber to make our furniture. All this timber is responsibly sourced &ย FSC certified. That means that every piece of wood at Off the Grain is sourced from sustainably managed forests in areas where four trees are planted for everyone used.

We also make sure that all of the Timber supply chain that we work with are licensed and operating legally, so that we are all upholding the very high standards that we pride ourselves on here at Off The Grain.
