The Rustic is a freestanding double vanity unit, handmade to order in our Halifax workshop and built in solid wood for a his-and-hers bathroom. It's wide enough for two basins, with a solid timber top and storage underneath to match.

Most double vanities at this width are oak-effect or veneer over an MDF core, which is fine until water reaches the board and the edges swell and lift. This one is solid wood, with a solid timber worktop rather than a printed panel, so it holds up to a working bathroom and can be re-waxed or sanded back rather than replaced.

The rustic finish is the point of it. We leave the grain, the knots and the natural movement of the wood on show rather than sanding the character out, so no two units come out the same. Underneath sit two drawers with a full-width open shelf below, so towels and bottles have a home without the unit feeling boxed in. It comes with brass cup handles as standard, but they're yours to change โ€” fit any handle you like to suit your bathroom.

Made to your size โ€” 1200, 1400, 1600 or 1800mm, or a bespoke width cut to fit the room. The solid timber top is left undrilled, so your plumber sets the taps to whichever basins you choose (basins and taps not included). Finished by hand in Light Wax, Medium Wax or Dark Wax to suit your bathroom.

Handmade with a lifetime structural guarantee and delivered free of charge. Need a size or setup that isn't listed? Just ask โ€” every unit is made to order.

DELIVERY & RETURNS

Delivered free of charge by our specialist delivery team. Your vanity unit arrives fully assembled and handled by a dedicated team rather than a standard courier, so it reaches you safely.

WOOD MATERIAL

Solid wood throughout, with a solid timber worktop โ€” no veneer and no MDF core, so there's no board to swell or de-laminate if water reaches it. The cabinet and top are finished here by hand in your choice of wax (Light, Medium or Dark), applied for everyday bathroom use. Handles are brass cup handles as standard and can be swapped for any handle you choose. Because it's solid wood with a rustic finish, the grain, knots and natural colour variation differ from unit to unit โ€” that's the material, not a flaw, and it can be re-waxed or sanded back over the years rather than replaced.

GOOD TO KNOW

Made to order, so it's built for you rather than picked off a shelf โ€” and because it's a rustic finish, the grain and natural variation are part of it, not a fault. The unit is sized for two sit-on basins; basins and taps aren't included, so you can choose the fittings that suit your bathroom, and the top is left undrilled so your plumber fits the taps. The solid timber top is finished for bathroom use โ€” wipe standing water and top up the wax occasionally and it will keep its look for years.

INSTALLATION

Arrives fully assembled and freestanding โ€” it simply stands in place. The plumbing is a job for a plumber: the worktop is left undrilled and the back panel isn't pre-cut, so they'll drill the tap holes to suit your basins, route the pipework, and connect the waste and supply. Have your chosen basins and taps to hand before fitting so everything is positioned right first time.
