Product description

Product Overview:

  • Chunky 3cm solid oak top on black steel frame legs
  • Made to order from 50cm to 180cm long, bespoke sizes on request
  • 30cm deep, so it sits close to the wall in a hallway or behind a sofa
  • Two heights: 75cm standard, or a taller 89cm
  • Seven hand applied oak finishes, from Natural and Whitewash to Walnut and Dark Roast
  • Legs and top ship separately and bolt together with the fixings supplied
  • Made to order in 1 to 2 weeks in our Halifax workshop

The Oak Console Table with Black Steel Legs pairs a chunky solid oak top with clean black steel frame legs, a simple, modern console that suits a hallway, a landing or the space behind a sofa. The top is made to order in our Halifax workshop and cut to the length of your wall.

The top is 3cm thick solid oak, so it feels substantial and can be sanded and refinished over the years rather than replaced. The black frame legs keep the look light and open underneath, with nothing to clutter the floor, and the contrast of dark steel against warm oak works in modern and traditional homes alike.

Choose your length in 10cm steps from 50cm to 180cm. At 30cm deep it keeps the walkway clear in a hallway. The standard 75cm height suits most hallways and landings, while the taller 89cm option sits neatly behind a sofa. If the size you need is not listed, ask us for a bespoke top cut to your measurements.

Pick from seven hand applied oak finishes to match your floor or other furniture: Natural, Whitewash, Honey, Light Roast, Heritage, Walnut or Dark Roast.

The legs and top ship separately, which protects the table in transit, and bolt together in a few minutes with the fixings supplied. Each top is made to order and sent out within 1 to 2 weeks.

Part of our oak console tables collection.

DELIVERY & RETURNS

Made to order in our Yorkshire workshop and carefully packaged for delivery, with delivery charges shown at checkout. The legs and top ship separately, which protects the table in transit and makes it easy to carry through to the room you need.

WOOD MATERIAL

A 3cm solid oak top, cut from FSC certified timber, on black steel frame legs. Oak is a dense, hard wearing hardwood with a fine grain that ages beautifully, and a solid top can be sanded and refinished over the years rather than replaced.

GOOD TO KNOW

Our Oak Console Tables

Every top is handmade from solid oak, so each one is unique. The grain, knots and colour vary from piece to piece, and as a natural material the oak may develop fine cracks or a little movement as it settles into your home. These are the character of real wood rather than faults.

Choosing your height

75cm is the standard console height and suits most hallways and landings. Choose 89cm if the table will stand behind a sofa with a high back, so the top sits level with or just above it.

Colour and finish

Each top is finished by hand in your chosen oak finish, and no two pieces of oak take the finish in quite the same way. Colours can also look slightly different from one screen to another. These natural variations are normal and are not a fault.

INSTALLATION

Assembly

The legs bolt to the underside of the top with the fixings supplied, so it goes together in a few minutes. Stand it on a level floor and check it sits true before loading.
