Part of our range of handmade wooden vanity units, made to order in our Halifax workshop.

The Luddenden is a wall hung oak vanity unit, handmade to order in our Halifax workshop and named, like the rest of our range, after a village on our Calderdale doorstep. A single soft-close drawer sits over a full-width open shelf, finished with a plain white quartz top and brass cup handles for a classic look that suits period and modern bathrooms alike.

The drawer gives you closed storage for the things you would rather keep out of sight, and the open shelf below keeps towels and everyday bits to hand. The quartz worktop is hard, non-porous and wipes clean. Basin and taps are not included, so you can choose the ones that suit your bathroom.

Made to your size from 500mm to 1200mm wide, and finished by hand in Heritage, Walnut, Honey, Light Roast, Dark Roast, Whitewash or Natural wax. It comes with brass cup handles as standard, or you can pick any other handle from our range on this page.

It fixes to the wall with the floor left clear underneath, which keeps a smaller bathroom or cloakroom feeling open and the floor easy to clean. Your installer fixes it into solid masonry or timber studs, as it carries the weight of the unit, the basin and everyday use.

It sits in our ranges of oak vanity units and wall hung vanity units. Made to order in 3 to 5 weeks, with a lifetime structural guarantee and free UK delivery. Need a size or setup that is not listed? Just ask.

DELIVERY & RETURNS

Delivered free of charge by our specialist delivery team, handled by a dedicated team rather than a standard courier so it reaches you safely.

WOOD MATERIAL

Solid oak front, sides, drawer front, open shelf and base, with a plain white quartz worktop. The drawer box and back panel are oak veneer. Those are the large, flat panels closest to the plumbing, and veneer keeps them flat and stable through daily steam and splashes, where solid timber panels can move. Oak is a hardwearing timber with a warm tone and open grain, so each unit varies a little in grain and colour, which is the wood rather than a flaw. Hand finished here for bathroom use in your choice of oak wax, and keeping the finish topped up holds its colour for years.

GOOD TO KNOW

Made to order, so it is built for you rather than picked off a shelf. It is wall hung, fixed to the wall with the floor clear beneath, so it suits cloakrooms and smaller bathrooms where floor space is tight. The drawer is soft-close, with an open shelf below for towels and everyday items. Basin and taps are not included. Being wall hung, you set the height to suit your basin. Oak is a natural timber, so the grain and tone vary a little from unit to unit, which is the wood rather than a flaw.

INSTALLATION

Wall hung, so it is fixed to the wall rather than standing on the floor. Your installer fixes it into masonry, or into the studs or a batten on a plasterboard wall, as it carries the cabinet, the basin and the water weight. Plasterboard on its own will not hold it. Have your basin and tap to hand before fitting.
