Solid Sapele cabinet with a white Corian worktop. Sapele is a naturally dark, close-grained hardwood, so the colour is the timber rather than a stain, and the grain and depth vary a little from unit to unit. The cabinet is solid wood, not veneer over MDF, so there is no board to swell or de-laminate if water reaches it. The Corian top is a hard-wearing solid surface that wipes clean. Hand-finished here for bathroom use, and keeping the wood's finish topped up holds its colour and keeps it sound for years.

Made to order, so it is built for you rather than picked off a shelf. It is wall hung, fixed to the wall with the floor clear beneath, so it suits cloakrooms and smaller bathrooms where floor space is tight. The drawer is soft-close, with an open shelf below for towels and everyday items. Basin and taps are not included, and the Corian top is left undrilled so your plumber fits the tap to your chosen sit on basin. Being wall hung, you set the height. For a sit on basin we would fit the worktop around 700mm from the floor so the basin rim sits at a comfortable 820 to 850mm, and you can go higher or lower to suit. Sapele is a naturally dark hardwood, so every unit varies a little in grain and depth of colour, which is the timber rather than a flaw. The Corian wipes clean, and keeping the wood's finish topped up holds its look for years.

Wall hung, so it is fixed to the wall rather than standing on the floor. It needs a solid fixing, into masonry or into the studs or a batten on a plasterboard wall, as it carries the cabinet, the basin and the water weight. The Corian top is left undrilled and the back is not pre-cut, so your plumber drills the tap hole, routes the pipework, and connects the waste and supply to suit your basin. Have your basin and tap to hand before fitting.
