Oak Radiator Shelf with Brackets

Each shelf is made to order in our Yorkshire workshop in small production runs. Please allow 3 to 5 working days for us to build and finish it before dispatch. During busier periods it can occasionally take a little longer. Once dispatched, you will receive a confirmation email with tracking details, and your order is sent on a tracked courier service, carefully packaged to arrive safely.

Solid oak all the way through, cut from FSC certified timber, so it can be sanded and refinished over the years rather than replaced.

We take great pride in sourcing our wood from FSC certified suppliers who are committed to responsible forest management, so every shelf is made from timber that is sustainably grown and harvested.

Our Oak Radiator Shelves
Every shelf is handcrafted from solid oak, so each one is unique. The grain, knots and colour vary from piece to piece, and as a natural material the oak may develop small cracks and splits as it settles into your home. These are the character of real wood rather than faults.

Installation
The shelf is fixed through its two wooden brackets into the wall. The fixings we supply are for solid walls only. It can also be fitted to a plasterboard wall, but you would need to source your own suitable fixings for plasterboard, as the ones included are not designed for it. Use a level so both brackets sit true, and please have it fitted by a competent person or professional.

Fitting above your radiator
Leave a gap between the top of the radiator and the underside of the shelf so warm air can circulate freely. As a guide, allow at least 5cm above a modern panel radiator, and more, up to around 15cm, above a hotter cast iron radiator. The greater the clearance, the better the heat moves around the room and the more it protects the shelf over time.

Colour and finish
Each shelf is finished by hand in your chosen shade, and no two pieces of oak take the finish in quite the same way. Colours can also look slightly different from one screen to another. These natural variations are normal and are not a fault.
