This fireplace beam is made from solid oak, selected for its strength and natural grain. Each piece is chosen to show heavier character, including knots, grain variation and natural imperfections that create an aged appearance.

The timber is sourced from FSC-certified suppliers and is carefully worked by hand in our Yorkshire workshop. The oak is finished to enhance its darker tone and highlight the depth and texture of the grain, giving each beam a distinctive rustic finish.

Each beam is crafted to highlight the natural character of solid oak. Knots, cracks, splits and variation in tone are not defects but part of the aged, rustic finish.

No two beams are the same. You are buying a character piece of oak, with individual grain patterns and natural imperfections that make each beam unique.

If you prefer a cleaner, more uniform finish, our standard oak fireplace beams may be more suitable.

This fireplace beam is designed for a floating installation using hidden keyhole fixings.

Keyhole slots are pre-cut into the back of the beam, allowing it to sit securely onto wall-mounted screws while keeping all fixings out of sight once installed.

The beam can be fitted directly to solid walls such as brick or masonry using suitable fixings. For other wall types, appropriate heavy-duty fixings or additional support may be required.

Due to the weight of solid oak, ensure fixings are secure and installed into a suitable surface before mounting.
