Product description

A wooden console table with a shelf is a slim solid wood table with a second tier below the top, giving you a surface for a lamp and the post up top and open storage for baskets, books or boots underneath. Ours is built from solid pine, with a chunky top on splayed A frame legs and a fixed lower shelf, a relaxed country style that suits a hallway, an entryway or the space behind a sofa. Handmade to order in our Halifax workshop and cut to the width you need, from 60cm to 150cm, in a choice of two heights.

Every top is solid pine throughout, hand finished in your choice of wax, with its own knots and grain, so no two are ever quite the same. It arrives fully assembled, so there is nothing to build, just stand it where you want it.

Please note the width is the top board. The base is about 10cm wider than the top due to the splayed legs, so allow a little extra room against a wall or in an alcove.

DELIVERY & RETURNS

Made to order in our Yorkshire workshop and sent out on a tracked courier service, carefully packaged. This console arrives fully assembled, so there is nothing to build, just unwrap it and stand it where you want it.

WOOD MATERIAL

Solid pine throughout, hand finished in your choice of wax. Pine is a warm, characterful softwood with visible knots and grain, and as a natural material it can move and mark a little over time. These are the character of real wood rather than faults.

GOOD TO KNOW

Our Console Tables

Every console is handmade from solid pine, so each one is unique. The grain, knots and colour vary from piece to piece, and as a natural material the pine may develop small cracks or a little movement as it settles into your home. These are the character of real wood rather than faults.

Measuring for the splayed legs

The width you choose is the top board. Because the legs splay outwards, the base sits about 10cm wider than the top, so if it is going into an alcove or a tight run of wall, measure the floor space as well as the wall above and allow that little bit extra.

Colour and finish

Each piece is finished by hand in your chosen wax, and no two pieces of pine take the finish in quite the same way. Colours can also look slightly different from one screen to another. These natural variations are normal and are not a fault.

Delivered ready to use

This console arrives fully assembled. There is nothing to build, just unwrap it, stand it on a level floor and it is ready to use.

How long will my order take

Most items are handmade and made to order. The current lead time is shown on the product page. You will also receive progress updates during production and dispatch.

What happens if there is a problem during delivery

If you experience an issue in transit, contact the customer service team and they will help you resolve it.

How do returns work

To start a return, email customer service with your order number and reason. Items must be securely packaged in the original packaging. Return shipping costs are usually paid by the customer, while defective or damaged returns are covered by Off the Grain. Refunds are processed after inspection.

Do you offer click and collect

Yes. Click and collect is available from the workshop and is free. Collection options vary by item size.

Can I get advice on finishes or matching items

Yes. Product and finish guidance is available. If you are unsure about finishes or matching pieces, contact the team and they will advise.
