Product description

A radiator console table is a slim, tall table made to sit over a radiator, turning an awkward wall into a useful surface for a lamp, keys or a plant without blocking the heat. Ours has a slim solid pine top, just 22cm deep and 32mm thick, on two solid pine legs, in a pared back Scandinavian style that suits a hallway, entryway or living room. Handmade to order in our Halifax workshop and cut to the width you need, from 40cm to 160cm, in a choice of three heights to clear your radiator.

There is no lower shelf and the open two leg design means nothing traps the heat, so warm air rises freely past the top. Leave a gap of at least 10cm between the top of the radiator and the underside of the table so heat can escape, and a little more above a hotter cast iron radiator. Every top is solid pine throughout, hand finished in your choice of wax, with its own knots and grain, so no two are ever quite the same.

It arrives flat packed, but it is very quick and easy to put together. The legs simply bolt on to the underside of the top with the fixings supplied, and we include L brackets so you can fix it safely to the wall.

WOOD MATERIAL

Solid pine throughout, hand finished in your choice of wax. Pine is a warm, characterful softwood with visible knots and grain, and as a natural material it can move and mark a little over time. These are the character of real wood rather than faults.

GOOD TO KNOW

Our Radiator Console Tables

Every console is handmade from solid pine, so each one is unique. The grain, knots and colour vary from piece to piece, and as a natural material the pine may develop small cracks or a little movement as it settles into your home. These are the character of real wood rather than faults.

Placing it over a radiator

This console is slim and open framed, made to sit over a radiator. The legs sit about 13cm inside the width of the top, so an 80cm top leaves roughly 67cm between the legs. As a guide, choose a width where the gap between the legs is a little wider than your radiator, and a height that leaves at least 10cm above the radiator top for heat to escape, more for a hotter cast iron radiator. Not sure? Send us your radiator measurements and we will advise the best size.

Flat packed and easy to build

It arrives flat packed, but it is very quick and easy to build. The legs bolt on to the underside of the top with a screwdriver, and L brackets are included to fix it safely to the wall.

Colour and finish

Each top is finished by hand in your chosen wax, and no two pieces of pine take the finish in quite the same way. Colours can also look slightly different from one screen to another. These natural variations are normal and are not a fault.

INSTALLATION

Fitting over a radiator

Stand the console so the top sits above the radiator with room for heat to escape. Leave a gap of at least 10cm between the top of the radiator and the underside of the table, and a little more, up to around 15cm, above a hotter cast iron radiator. The open two leg design and lack of a lower shelf let warm air rise freely into the room.

Flat packed and easy to build

It arrives flat packed but is very quick and easy to put together. The solid pine legs simply bolt on to the underside of the top with the fixings supplied, and L brackets are included so you can fix it to the wall. Stand it on a level floor and check it sits true before loading.
