The Hebden is a freestanding oak vanity unit, handmade to order in our Halifax workshop and named โ€” like the rest of the range โ€” after a village on our Calderdale doorstep. A solid oak frame and legs with drawers below, topped with a solid surface countertop ready for a sit-on basin โ€” a classic, understated design that settles into traditional and modern bathrooms alike.

Made to your size: the 600mm comes with two drawers, the 800mm and 1000mm with three, or we'll cut a bespoke size to fit your bathroom. The solid surface countertop is included โ€” non-porous and water-resistant, so it handles splashes and standing water far better than a timber or natural-stone top. It's left undrilled, so your plumber sets the tap to whichever countertop basin you choose (basin not supplied).

The drawers are soft-close, with satin brass handles as standard that can be customised on request. The oak cabinet is finished by hand in any of our hardwood finishes โ€” Heritage, Walnut, Natural, Honey, Light Roast, Dark Roast or Whitewash โ€” to match your bathroom.

GOOD TO KNOW

A fewย things worth knowing before you order.ย It's made to order, so it's built forย you rather than picked off a shelf โ€”ย bespoke sizes are no problem, just sendย your measurements.

The basin andย tap aren't included. The unit isย designed for a sit-on (countertop)ย basin you choose, and the worktop isย left undrilled so your plumber fits theย tap to your basin. Worth bearing inย mind that a sit-on basin adds roughlyย 120โ€“150mm on top, so the finished basinย sits higher than the worktop โ€” if you'dย prefer it lower, we can adjust theย cabinet height, as it's made to order.

INSTALLATION

Your vanity unit arrives fully assembled and freestanding, so there's nothing to build โ€” it simply stands in place. The plumbing is a job for a plumber: the worktop is left undrilled and the back panel isn't pre-cut, so they'll drill the tap hole to suit your basin, route the pipework, and connect the waste and supply. We'd suggest having your chosen basin and tap to hand before fitting, so everything is positioned right first time.

How long will my order take

Most items are handmade and made to order. The current lead time is shown on the product page. You will also receive progress updates during production and dispatch.

What happens if there is a problem during delivery

If you experience an issue in transit, contact the customer service team and they will help you resolve it.

How do returns work

To start a return, email customer service with your order number and reason. Items must be securely packaged in the original packaging. Return shipping costs are usually paid by the customer, while defective or damaged returns are covered by Off the Grain. Refunds are processed after inspection.

Do you offer click and collect

Yes. Click and collect is available from the workshop and is free. Collection options vary by item size.

Can I get advice on finishes or matching items

Yes. Product and finish guidance is available. If you are unsure about finishes or matching pieces, contact the team and they will advise.
